Emirates Group is to roll out 11,500 Dell Optiplex desktop PCs over the next two years. The project, which is being carried out by Key Information Technology (KIT), includes service and support facilities, including Dell’s Custom Factory Integration (CFI) pre-installation service, which configures Dell systems to meet customer needs.

"We have been impressed both by the quality of the Dell products and the service that backs them up,” says Pauric Doyle, Emirates’ vice president of technology services at Emirates Group.

“We are satisfied that Dell can meet Emirates’ high standards for IT services, while helping us to contain our unit costs. We are counting also on Dell's worldwide presence to support Emirates’ rapid network expansion," he adds.

Members of Emirates’ IT support team in Dubai will undergo training locally and at Dell’s facilities in Ireland to receive certification as authorised Dell technicians, something that should ease support and help the group gain maximum return on investment (ROI) on its hardware spend.
