Dubai-based quality management training centre, the e-TQM College, has implemented the Blackboard Learning System, which will allow users to access Arabised versions of its online courses.

Dubai-based quality management training centre, the e-TQM College, has implemented the Blackboard Learning System, which will allow users to access Arabised versions of its online courses.

The implementation has been carried out in collaboration with Edutech, a leading provider of knowledge solutions, based at Dubai Internet City.

e-TQM College is the first organisation to request an Arabic language version of the system and is the first to use the system in Arabic in the region.Arabic is the tenth language in which the Blackboard Learning System is available.

“e-TQM College can now leverage its existing technological infrastructure to deliver online courses using a leading Virtual Learning Environment such as Blackboard Learning System,” says Dr Mansoor Al Awar, Director, e-TQM College. “The technology upgrade demonstrates our commitment to provide open access to all those individuals aspiring to specialise in quality management. The Arabic interfaces that Blackboard offers will enhance the educational experience of our online learners,” he adds.

Edutech’s solutions meet the learning needs of institutions such as universities, colleges and schools, government departments, ministries, defence services and hospitals as well as business enterprises such as oil & gas companies, banks and financial institutions, manufacturing companies and trading houses.
