JBK-BICC deploys Great Plains

Jassim Bin Khalid (JBK)-BICC is in the process of implementing Microsoft Business Solutions' Great Plains software in an attempt to improve its internal efficiencies and boost productivity levels.

The marketing arm of Ducab in Qatar, Jassim Bin Khalid (JBK)-BICC, is in the process of implementing Microsoft Business Solutions' Great Plains software in an attempt to improve its internal efficiencies and boost productivity levels.

The project is being carried out by QDS, which is initially rolling out the financial and supply chain management (SCM) modules of the Microsoft enterprise resource planning (ERP) application.

While the former will integrate JBK-BICC's financial data across the company and ensure instant access to accurate information for users, the latter will allow the company to control business critical processes and streamline its pick/pack/ship cycle.

According to Piyush Agrawal, business unit manager at JBK BICC, Great Plains will allow the company to accelerate customer inquiry response times and boost the overall efficiency of the company's operations.

"We chose Microsoft Great Plains since it was imperative for us to choose an application that is stable, scalable, has strong partner support & has a clear road map for the future," adds Raihan Aamir, IS manager at Ducab.
