Acer plans aggressive expansion in Egypt's PC market
Acer will bring together 150 channel partners at two conferences in Egypt to outline its strategy to grab market share.
Acer has launched a massive initiative to increase its share of the Egyptian PC market. The hardware vendor will bring together 150 channel partners at two conferences in Cairo and Alexandra where it will outline its strategy to grab market share.
“This year we have surpassed our targets in Egypt and we could not have achieved this result without the hard work that has been show by our channel partners. Hosting these meetings in Egypt shows the resellers that we are committed to assisting them achieve business growth and profitability,” comments Krishna Murthy, general manager, Acer Computer (M.E.).
The events will cover Acer’s latest product lines, policies and services. The vendor will be focusing heavily on its support infrastructure during the road show event.
“We are focusing on the services that are offered to customers because Egyptian people are really interested in getting the best,” says Basem Ewaiwi, regional sales manager, CIS & East Mediterranean, Acer Computer (M.E.).
Acer’s current market position has been fuelled by strong growth across several market verticals, in particular banking and the oil & gas sector.
“The demand for Acer products is mostly being driven by oil and gas companies, banking organisations and government departments,” explains Tarek Aboul Kassem, general manager, Mantrac – an Acer certified sales partner in the region.
