Intel promotes servers to SMBs with worldwide campaign
Intel has launched a worldwide campaign, under the banner 'Real Servers' to promote Xeon-based servers to small-to-medium businesses
Intel has launched a worldwide push to promote Intel-based servers to the small-to-medium sized business programme. The ‘Real Server’ campaign will promote the benefits of Xeon-based servers to SMBs, and provide education to SMBs on how to select the correct server for their needs.
The campaign will be run in conjunction with channel partners, and has a particular focus on emerging markets. The programme includes a number of elements for systems builders including technical information, hardware samples, product briefs, marketing collateral and rebates.
“Research shows only a minority of small businesses, especially in emerging markets, have the necessary server systems to operate efficiently,” said Willy Agatstein, general manager of Intel’s Reseller Products Group. “Many others are making do with desktop computers that were designed as single-user PCs, or outmoded proprietary systems. Our goal is to provide training and resources to the system builders who serve these customers so that more small businesses can manage their computing infrastructure efficiently.”
