Sendo expands Middle Eastern distribution network

Mobile phone manufacturer Sendo has expanded its focus on the Middle East after striking a distribution agreement with Al-Jammaz Telecom in Saudi Arabia.

Mobile phone manufacturer Sendo has expanded its focus on the Middle East after striking a distribution agreement with Al-Jammaz Telecom in Saudi Arabia.

Al-Jammaz Telecom, part of the Al-Jammaz Group which also includes agriculture and travel businesses in the Kingdom, will carry the complete range of Sendo mobile phones and accessories. It will offer the range via its own retail outlets, as well as independent retailers.

The move follows UK-based Sendo’s recent establishment of its Middle East headquarters in the Dubai Airport Free Zone and the launch of its full range of mobile phones in the region.

It is particularly focusing on selling its S200 and J500 models in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE, and has Arabic-enabled its phones.

"This agreement broadens Sendo's entry in the Arabic market. Al-Jammaz Telecom is a well established distributor in Saudi Arabia with a highly-regarded reputation," said Bahige Takieddine, regional general manager, Sendo International Middle East.

Headquartered in Riyadh, Al-Jammaz supplies broadband and networking solutions, voice applications, card technologies and consumer products.
