HP call centre campaign nets 1,000 sales in two days

HP has concluded a two day campaign with reseller partners and its customer relationship call centre to promote PC sales in the UAE

Hewlett-Packard is reporting the success of a promotional campaign to drive PC sales through resellers. The two-day campaign saw three HP resellers working closely with HP’s customer relationship management (CRM) centre to push sales of two models in the UAE.

The campaign resulted in sales of over 1,000 units of the two models, the Compaq Evo N1020v notebook and Compaq Evo D310 microtower. HP welcomed the result, saying that it proved that PC sales are still buoyant in the UAE.

“The main point to emerge from this campaign is that the local PC market is in excellent shape,” said Christoph Schell, general manager, HP Personal Systems Group (PSG) in the Middle East.
“There is clearly great demand for top quality branded products at an attractive price supported by world-class service. The success of this campaign in the UAE has encouraged us to extend it throughout the region,” he added.

Karen Bell-Wright, manager of the HP CRM centre said that the campaign illustrated the capabilities of the call centre working in tandem with partners.

“This is a great example of how our CRM Centre can work effectively with our traditional channel partners. We have built up an extensive database of potential customers, particularly in the small-to-medium business space and our staff were able to alert them to these special offers. With the support of our three partners we were able to drive this campaign in a very dynamic manner,” she said.
