SWCC embarks on massive EAM project

Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) plans to implement Datastream 7i asset management software over its 30 plants and head office operation.

Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) is enhancing the management and maintenance of its Kingdom-wide operation with the implementation of an enterprise asset management (EAM) package from Datastream.

When implemented in its 30 plants and head office, SWCC will be able to increase equipment uptime and reduce maintenance, repair and operational costs. Datastream 7i will also help the organisation to streamline its business procurement processes.

SWCC’s asset information will reside on a centralised database, providing the organisation’s management team with access to real-time information through the internet.

Currently SWCC is overhauling many of its business processes as part of its Oracle 11i deployment. Datastream 7i will be integrated into the core Oracle modules, which include supply chain management and procurement as well as financials and HR.

Local Datastream partner, Digicom Systems will implement the asset management software and train SWCC’s maintenance personnel. The SWCC project will be the largest Datastream deployment in the Middle East region, both in terms of concurrent users and requirements.
