ICICI Infotech’s Premia has been selected by the American International Group (AIG) to streamline its Gulf-based general insurance operations.

Over an eight month period Premia, ICICI Infotech’s Internet-enabled enterprise information solution is set to streamline AIG’s general non-life insurance business operations in the Gulf region. By deploying the solution AIG will be able to cater to their customer’s needs in real-time and handle more volumes of business at high speeds through Premia’s integration with AIG’s existing business processes. The solution is expected to reduce costs and ensure unrestricted access to mission-critical information across AIG’s operations in the region.

“We wanted an advanced, flexible, scalable and above all fully Internet-enabled solution that would enable us to serve our customers better, providing them with real-time responses and an efficient service,” commented Mehdi Janmohamed, Regional Director – Operations & Systems, AIG Middle East & South Asia.

“Our choice to go with Premia as the enterprise information system for our operation in the region was based on specific deliverables that met our company’s business objectives now and into the future,” said Johammed.

Premia will help simplify AIG’s management process by cutting through the complexity of insurance process requirements and provide AIG with a simple flexible solution, capable of helping them meet their aggressive growth plans.

“We are delighted to work with AIG on such a project and are confident that Premia will enable them to provide enhanced customer service to their growing customer base. We look forward to building on the success of this project to establish Premia as the ‘solution of choice’ for global leaders in the Insurance sector,” said Hari Padmanabhan, president of ICICI Infotech Middle East and Africa.
