ITP is planning to honour Saudi’s e-entrepreneurs at its third E-Business Awards. The event, which is scheduled to run on the evening of the 28th April, will bring together companies and individuals that are leading the development of the knowledge economy in the Kingdom.
“Over the last three years these awards have always been keenly contested and monitored, and they have become an industry recognised barometer of the developments within the Kingdom’s e-marketplace over the last year,” says Walid Akawi, publisher, ITP.
“We have now finalised the 11 categories to be contested, and I am delighted to announce that the awards will recognise what we regard as the crucial and central developments of Saudi’s e-business infrastructure,” he adds.
Alongside the usual E-Business Awards, ITP has also decided to honour the Saudi’s IT managers, in conjunction with its flagship publication, Arabian Computer News (ACN). The ACN IT Managers awards will be given to those organisations that have put information technology at the core of their business and have succeeded in reducing costs, increasing productivity and improving customer service.
“We have also taken the step of announcing the Saudi ACN IT Managers of the year awards,” says Akawi.
“These awards recognise the Kingdom’s IT pioneers who have deployed various technologies to cut costs, boost sales and improve customer service over the last year. We are confident that these will rapidly become a sounding board for the Kingdom’s IT sector as a whole,” he adds.
The award event will run on the second day of Gitex Saudi, the country’s largest IT exhibition. The awards evening brings together industry leaders from around the Kingdom.
