ITP Events ramps up for E-Government Road Show
The road show, which will visit Dubai, Riyadh and Amman towards the end of February, brings together public sector employees and vendors to discuss e-government strategy.
ITP Events is beginning 2003 with its E-Government Road Show. The event, which is sponsored by Microsoft, Intel, Canon and HP will visit Dubai, Riyadh and Amman during late February, bringing together public sector employees and vendors to discuss e-government strategy.
“We are delighted with the quality of speakers,” says Michael Crawley, manager, ITP Events.
“His Excellency Fawaz Zu'bi, [Minister of Information & Communications] will be addressing the delegates in Jordan, while Salem Al Shair, Dr. Saeed Al Dhaheri and John E. Davies, Intel VP, Sales and Marketing Group will be speaking at thee Dubai, and Riyadh events respectively,” he adds.
The half day programme offers a mix of education on relevant disciplines, IT strategies and end user case studies.
Delegates will also have the opportunity to discuss their experiences and requirements by taking advantage of specialist advisors from Microsoft and HP, which will be on-hand to problem solve specific issues within all governmental departments. The sessions will highlight the vast range of products and services on offer from vendors and consultants.
“We have found that strategies and rationale discussed at these Road Shows are further enhanced by the panel discussion in the form of a Q&A session” comments Crawley.
“Many subjects come up that the delegates wish to further their understanding of, and sometimes challenge. Q&A [sessions] are integral to the Road Show, and help to underline the learning experience that these events [can offer,]” he adds.
The E-Government Road Show will be in Dubai on February 22nd February at the Fairmont Hotel, In Riyadh on 24th February at the Riyadh Sheraton Hotel and in Amman on 26th February at the Amman Sheraton. Delegates can register their free place by visiting www.itp.net/events/e-government/reg.php
