BEA opens the doors to Education Services Centre

The centre will address the shortfall in middleware skills by offering courses based on BEA's official curriculum.

BEA is addressing the middleware skills shortage with the opening of its Dubai Internet City-based (DIC) education centre. The Education Services Centre will offer training on BEA’s Java and XML-enabled infrastructure software.

“To ensure that IT projects are on schedule, corporate spending on IT and business training has increased considerably during 2002, despite the global economic downturn and the budget squeeze. This trend is anticipated to continue through 2003 as [corporations] lay greater emphasis on IT education and training investments,” comments Diyaa Zebian, business development manager, Middle East.

“To ensure that the clients are able to gain optimum benefit, we feel it is imperative to keep them constantly updated on the capabilities of our [software.] Education in leading industry products and solutions then assumes great significance as professionals work to maximise the advantages of BEA systems.”

Courses available in the education centre will be based on BEA’s official curriculum, which is available in a variety of formats customised to meet client’s needs. The training centre also offers BEA Certification Programs for competency on WebLogic platform.

“Individual certifications for architects, developers, administrators and business analysts on six levels, spanning a number of different roles will provide a better understanding of the approaches, concepts and techniques required for continued development and maintenance of the systems,” says Zebian.

The Education Services Center will deliver training courses tailored to the needs of the individuals and businesses.
