Catch the bus, win a prize

Get snap happy during the Dubai Shopping Festival and you could win a digicam and printer prize pack courtesy of Canon. May the best picture win...

Canon is attempting to redefine the term 'catching the bus' with its latest competition.

Canon is actually providing three public transport buses (complete with Canon branding, naturally) to ferry passengers between destinations during the Dubai Shopping Festival. Routes will take in Bur Dubai, Sheik Zayed Road and the Global Village, amongst others. Furthermore, Canon is offering prizes, including a Canon IXUS v3 digital camera with an ultra-portable CP-100 card photo printer, to people who snap the buses.

If you spot the bus, shoot it with your digital camera and e-mail your best shot to:
canonbus@canon-me.com. Any make of camera can be used, with winning pictures to be judged according to best framing of the bus with DSF atmosphere, best combination of subject and background, and best shooting angle. With Dubai’s legendary traffic jams, it is thought action shots will be thin on the ground! Entries will be adjudicated by a panel of judges, including local professional photographers.

Entries will be adjudicated by a panel of judges, including some of Dubai’s top freelance photographers.
