MobileCom upgrades SMS infrastructure
Swapcom, the French mobile software company, has upgraded Jordanian operator MobileCom's SMS infrastructure.
MobileCom, the Jordanian mobile operator, has contracted French mobile software specialists Swapcom to upgrade its SMS infrastructure.
The new equipment will allow MobileCom, which has over 300,000 customers, to offer revenue generating solutions such as Swapcom’s ‘MyPhoneSettings’, which allows users to configure their handsets over the air.
“MobileCom has been able to provide cutting edge services to its customers since the launch of services in September 2000, our commitment towards our customers has been driving us to empower them with services available on a global level and at the same time tailored to suit their communication needs,” said Mickael Ghossein, chief executive officer, MobileCom. “The company has played a key role in the development of the mobile industry in Jordan by providing new offers and services which has been launched for the first time in Jordan and in the Middle East.”
