McAfee announces upgraded anti-virus solutions for Middle East region.

Lack of awareness has brought Gulf businesses under serious virus threat, according to McAfee. The security solutions provider announced the release of its updated range of anti-virus solutions in Saudi Arabia yesterday. The range includes VirusScan Home Edition 7.0, VirusScan Professional 7.0, McAfee Firewall 4.0, McAfee QuickClean 3.0 and McAfee Internet Security 5.0.

“The repercussions of a serious hacking experience often go beyond financial losses and bring businesses to a complete halt, from which total recovery could take several months. The only solution to this is precautionary measures in the form of anti-virus software developed by experts who are conversant with the virus scenario,” said Abdulrahman Gorashi, channel and distribution manager, Middle East, Network Associates.

Commenting on the release, Angelo Baltzan, regional director of Network Associates, said: “These enhanced anti-virus and privacy protection solutions contain comprehensive safeguards to meet the requirements of every computer user, whether a novice or an IT wizard. McAfee’s expertise in the field is backed by usability and quality testing and each solution is created to offer the highest satisfaction from installation to use.”
