Sakhr unveils version 3.5 of IDRISI search engine

Sakhr Software has unveiled version 3.5 of its IDRISI Arabic search engine. Boasting higher levels of stability, flexibility and reliability, the search engine allows users to complete advanced bilingual searches.

Sakhr Software has unveiled version 3.5 of its IDRISI Arabic search engine. Boasting higher levels of stability, flexibility and reliability, the search engine allows users to complete advanced bilingual searches on various enterprise applications.

Already deployed on a number of Arabic e-government portals, the new version of the software works on powerful multiprocessing servers and either the Windows or Unix platforms.

“[IDRISI 3.5] provides support for indexing and searching in more file-formats allowing you to add new customised indexing fields to speed the retrieval process,” says Sakhr.

The search engine can be deployed across corporate databases, web sites, e-government portals and more than 225 different document types, including DOC, PDF, XML, HTML, XLS, PPT.

Sakhr claims the product stand out from its rivals due to its easy-to-use administration, where instructions and tips accompany each administrative procedure.

“The search process is also very simple allowing you to retrieve any piece of information easily and accurately, and fully customise the search & retrieval pages to suit your needs,” it says.
