Sony Broadcast & Professional is showcasing a whole raft of audio visual products across two stands at this year’s show. Alongside the extensive range of broadcasting kit for both the professional and amateur markets, the vendor is also pushing its range of portable and network-enabled projectors.

At the heart of Sony’s display in hall four is the recently launched ‘killer’ VPL-CS5 and VPL-CX5 portable projectors and the company’s collection of network enabled devices.

“We are confident that the introduction of this model is going to meet the needs of the mobile user through to small boardroom and classroom applications,” says Phil Slack, divisional director Sony Broadcast & Professional Middle East & Africa.

“Both projectors are going to set new standards for the region in terms of features, benefits and value for money. We expect the demand for this product to come from small to medium size businesses and educational institutions,” he adds.

In hall seven, Sony Broadcast & Professional is also offering a number of packaged media solutions covering education, corporate, special events videographers, ‘pro-sumers’ and governments agencies.
“Sony is now able to deliver broadcast quality production to the pro-sumer.

Our new comprehensively scalable systems can be designed to address a broad range of users from the eager amateur through to the dedicated professional,” says Dave Castle Marketing manager for Sony’s DVCAM and Edit Master Series range.

“We are currently working with a large variety of clients — from production companies, journalists, corporate clients, wedding and special events videographers and educational institutions — basically anyone who would like to acquire material, edit it and produce an end product that even a professional video editor would be proud of,” says Castle.
