Al-Rajhi Group, a Saudi Arabian manufacturer of bricks, cartons and foodstuffs, has decided to implement a Sage ERP solution to increase the efficiency of its operations.

Al-Rajhi Group, a Saudi Arabian manufacturer of bricks, cartons and foodstuffs, has decided to implement a Sage ERP solution to increase the efficiency of its operations. The first phase will be installed by Algosaibi Information Systems, which will comprise 80 users in six different factories.

Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Rajhi, general manager of Al-Rajhi Holding Company said: “We chose Sage ERP after going through an evaluation process that involved many factors with different weights. Some important factors included system functionality, cost, ease of use, ease of implementation, vendor capability and reputation. Sage ERP and Algosaibi Information System achieved the best overall score.”

Ayad Algosaibi, managing director of Algosaibi Information Systems said: “S. A. Al-Rajhi Group wanted a system that could be customised and offered international support. With the first phase of the implementation progressing smoothly, Al-Rajhi is now planning to rollout Sage ERP in other companies in the group.”

Dr Zeyad Al-hekail, general manager for IT of Al-Rajhi Holding Company said that the company hoped to achieve four goals from the system. These he listed as: better internal controls, reduced inventory, reduced costs and better information leading to more informed decision making. He added that the decision had been preceded by an eight month evaluation period and that Al-Rajhi Group is now looking at manufacturing solutions to add to the ERP solution.
