Benq has released its latest LCD monitor in the Middle East. The company says the FP882 includes a lot of features that comparable models from competitors do not have.

The 18” screen can be set up using Benq’s iKey systems that allows the user to plug in the monitor and have it running within minutes as it tunes itself to provide the best display possible by adjusting the resolution and scanning frequency whenever the display mode is changed.

The FP 882 has 1.3 megapixel native resolution (1280 x 1024) and offers 160° viewing angles (both horizontal and vertical) so the user can let others easily see the screen in an office environment or makes the most of available desk space.

“The FP882 is a must-have for any home or office desk, as it exemplifies refined style and taste in a display device,” said Robert Dung, managing director, BenQ Middle East

“The BenQ FP882 LCD monitor represents the best LCD technology available anywhere in the region today. According to our channel sales estimates, we expect to sell large numbers of this digital display device in the region,” said Manish Bakshi, sales and marketing manager, Middle East.

According to a report in August’s CRN sales of monitors in the UAE market have levelled off. After a strong surge when the technology was released, LCDs have remained expensive slowing uptake. However manufacturers such as LG are now saying that prices have peaked and should fall soon.
