Mercator, the IT services arm of Emirates Group is reinforcing its product portfolio with the introduction of Vector – a travel & tourism specific event management tool. As with Mercator’s other applications, Vector has been developed internally for one of the group’s other business units.
For instance, Vector is already in use with Arabian Adventures’, Emirates Group’s own destination management company. Vector has been designed in close conjunction with business.
“Our clients aren't interested in excuses. They expect us to perform consistently, and flawlessly, each and every time,” says Frederic Bardin, Arabian Adventures, general manager.
“Vector offers unrivalled flexibility, addresses clients' individual needs so they are handled confidently and effectively and produces real cost benefits. It meets the exacting standards of our industry and gives a whole new meaning to destination management.”
Vector automates the entire events process, from pre-booking bid documents and quotations, designing creative events and programmes, and continuing to manage the job right through to post-event billing and administration.
Mercator is touting numerous financial benefits of using Vector, including faster billing and accurate tracking of accounts payable and cutting right down on costly mistakes and compensation claims.
“This solution gives destination management companies the ability to deliver world class service, strengthening relationships, generating repeat business, and boosting the bottom line,” says Hugh Pride, director of IT at Mercator.
