Tejari clocks up another client

Swiss watch vendor, Seddiqi & Sons has become the latest company to sign up to the Tejari business-to-business e-marketplace.

Swiss watch vendor, Seddiqi & Sons has become the latest company to sign up to the Tejari business-to-business e-marketplace.

Seddiqi says it will use Tejari to streamline its relationships with manufacturers, such as Rolex, Patek Philippe, Omega, Chopard, and TAG-Heuer, including logistical elements and parts supply. Online procurement will also allow the company to reduce its buying cycle.

“With more than 50 years of trading experience in the GCC, Seddiqi & Sons ranks among the pioneers in Dubai's emergence as the commercial hub of the Gulf. Tejari membership will enable our group to build on that reputation by both reaching new clients online while strengthening links with existing customers,” comments Abdul Hamied Seddiqi, managing director, Seddiqi & Sons.

“We anticipate that trading through Tejari will increase Seddiqi & Sons’ volume of business as an Internet-based complement to our locally-based service centres and seventeen showrooms in the UAE. Tejari will also keep the Seddiqi group in closer contact with the general trading community so that we can capitalize faster on new business opportunities,” he adds.

Seddiqi & Sons hopes that membership of Tejari will let it increase its sales of personalised and exclusive corporate gifts.

“The Seddiqi & Sons name is synonymous with both high-end brand names and superlative service. Tejari members are set to benefit from online access to Seddiqi’s extensive range of watches as well as the company’s local service offerings,” says Tejari’s chief executive officer, Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi.
