Lifebook attracts TV interest

Lifebook C Series expected to facilitate fast and easy transmission of news from journalists in remote areas.

Fujitsu Siemens has struck a deal to supply the Lifebook C Series laptops to the Qatar-based Al Jazeera Television Channel, with Al Jazeera’s internationally-based journalists set to reap the benefits.

Salah Al-Seddiqi, head of IT, Al Jazeera Channel, said: “Al Jazeera channel is associated with scoops and breaking stories, especially those pertaining to the Arab world. We pay great attention to the tools used by our reporters to despatch these stories. It is essential that the laptops and cameras we use offer optimum performance and advanced mobile computing technology as our reporters are often based in remote locations. We chose Fujitsu Siemens laptops for our reporters after we were convinced of their superior quality, dependability and hi-tech features.”

The Al Jazeera TV Channel’s order for the laptops was placed through Business Communications Qatar, a distributor based in Qatar. The versatile C series Notebook features an optional Wireless LAN module, and is the first corporate notebook from Fujitsu Siemens to be powered by the latest Intel Mobile Pentium processor.
