Qatar Ministry of Education opts for Acer

Acer’s value added reseller (VAR) partner in Qatar, Qatar Computer Services (QCS), has announced a further deal to supply 1000 PCs to Qatar’s Ministry of Education

Acer’s value added reseller partner in Qatar, Qatar Computer Services (QCS), has announced a further deal to supply 1000 PCs to Qatar’s Ministry of Education. QCS has already supplied the ministry with 2000 Acer PCs as part of the drive to make computers a major feature of Qatar’s education system.

“Qatar’s Ministry of Education selected Acer technology over other well known computing brands because of the solid reputation Acer enjoys for its development of state-of-the-art, price-competitive, and reliable computing solutions for the educational sector globally, as well as the Middle East market,” said AK Suresh Babu, general manager- Qatar Computer Services.

The Ministry chose the Veriton 5200Ds because of its versatility and value features. In addition, QCS will also offer a comprehensive after sales package to ensure that any problems are quickly rectified. It will also provide training for staff as necessary so that educational establishments get the most out of their equipment.

“As evidenced by its ongoing relationship with Qatar’s Ministry of Education, Acer is rapidly acquiring market share in the educational sector in the Middle East, and in the Qatar market in particular,” said S. Raghu, country sales manager, Acer Computer ME.

“By partnering with strong resellers, such as QCS, Acer will achieve continued success in this lucrative market,” he added.

The PCs will be delivered to the Ministry over the next three months by QCS.
