ERA signs agreement with DTP Consulting
A service level agreement signed between Emirates Racing Association and DTP Consulting will ensure that the latter provides ERA with all the maintenance and support required for its IT infrastructure.
A service level agreement (SLA) signed between Emirates Racing Association (ERA) and Dubai Technology Partners (DTP Consulting) will ensure that the latter provides ERA with IT infrastructure maintenance and support. The agreement will cover ERA’s entire technology infrastructure, which includes 59 networked PCs, plus 20 stand-alone and 4 servers.
“After studying the feasibility of running our own internal IT division versus outsourcing, we can up with the simple conclusion that outsourcing is more efficient and effective for us,” commented Terry Spargo, IT coordinator, Emirates Racing Association. “Since we joined forces with DTP Consulting, we have been more than satisfied with their level of service and are very impressed w ith their response time, technical know-how and strategic planning for future growth.”
Since the deal, ERA states that it has witnessed an increase in uptime from 68% to 99%, and help-desk response time decreased from three days to 45 minutes. ERA is also said to have saved 20% in terms of technology procurement.
“ERA required both responsive and proactive support services to the extent that a fully outsourced IT support solution was necessary. This was the most cost effective way to provide ERA with the skill set required to maintain their current IT infrastructure,” commented Andrew Boyd, head of DTP Consulting. “The overall objective of this engagement is to provide ERA direct first and second level desktop, server and network support via DTP Consulting’s support team.”
