DTK appoints GBM as authorised distributor

DTK Computer has appointed GBM Distribution as its authorised distributor for the Middle East region. The agreement will enable the vendor to expand further into the retail and corporate sector.

DTK Computer has appointed GBM Distribution as its authorised distributor for the Middle East region. The agreement will enable the vendor to expand further into the retail and corporate sector.

“Our partnership with GBM distribution further strengthens our distribution and support network, as well as enhances our strong brand presence in the region,” stated Nimer Al-Attal, managing director, DTK Middle East. “We have a strong market presence in the region and we are experiencing a consistent overall sales growth of over 20% per annum. We are confident to maintain this momentum through introducing new and innovative products, strengthening our channel and enhancing our after sales support and service,“he added.

Commenting on the channel partnership, Georges Kaldany, general manager, GBM distribution FZE stated: “With a strategic distributor partnership with DTK Computer, GBM Distribution is in a better position to penetrate market segments currently not being served by our company.”

At the conference, DTK also announced that its regional facility at Jebel Ali had been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certification by SGS. DTK, which currently commands four per cent of the region’s branded PC market, is also negotiating with partners to have service centres set up in the UAE and Egypt.
