FIC launches memory product range in the Middle East

FIC/C&C is bringing the FIC brand range of memory modules for PC, Notebook, server and Flash to the region.

FIC/Components & Components (C&C) is launching its own range of memory modules for the Middle East region. The memory products, which will be branded as FIC, will cover a wide range of form factors and memory types for a complete range of memory solutions.

The solutions range will include SDRAM and DDRAM for desktops, notebooks, thins clients and IA servers, and DDR 333 modules at 256 and 512MB capacities. The company will also launch its range of Flash memory cards in the third quarter. All products will come with a lifetime warranty.

Hassan Ashi, managing director of FIC/C&C said that the addition of memory gave FIC a broader product range for the region. “Memory is our third addition to our components business unit after motherboards and graphics cards,” he said. “We want to offer quality component solutions for Middle East channels and assemblers.”

The memory modules are being produced by semiconductor technology manufacturers Nanya Technology Corporation (NTC), which FIC owns a majority stake in. FIC/C&C is the Middle East operation of FIC Inc, and handles all sales, marketing, distribution of FIC products. It is also responsible for building the channel for FIC, and supporting FIC products.
