DHL UAE wins services awards

DHL UAE has been awarded the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award for its services in Abu Dhabi

DHL UAE has been recognised for the quality of its services in Abu Dhabi. The company received the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award, for its air express services in the Emirate. His Excellency Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa al Nahyan, honorary president of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry presented the award to David Wild, general manager of DHL UAE.

“In taking the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award we have clearly demonstrated how our total commitment to quality has positively impacted our performance in the capital,” said Wild. “The award is, yet again, a tribute to the DHL UAE staff and customers whose increasing demands for service quality leads us to continually innovate.”

The award comes as DHL has invested in improving services in Abu Dhabi, ahead of an anticipated five-fold growth of business in the emirate.

“Recent investment in Abu Dhabi has focussed on fleet acquisitions, an imminent move into the retail sector with our first pick-up and drop-off unit in a shopping centre, and the opening of a state-of-the-art air express centre in Umm Al Nar. More investment in the capital will follow including a planned new airside facility at Abu Dhabi International Airport,” said Wild. “We not only want to be nearer the customer to ensure we are easy to do business with, but intend to continue our award-winning service and facilities delivery.”
