Zamil Steel Egypt’s (ZSE) has deployed several modules of Oracle’s 11i application suite. The project, which took just 80 days, has brought order and greater visibility to business critical data.

The Oracle applications have increased the level of financial and accounting control, as well as provide online access to key financial metrics for improved decision-making.

By enabling employees to directly access a number of critical financial functions, ZSE is streamlining its business processes and reducing costs.

“Zamil Steel Egypt succeeded in implementing five modules of Oracle E-Business Suite in 80 days utilizing only 80% of our estimated budget. We are now in the process of starting the second phase of this e-business project — the implementation of the Oracle Order Management bundle,” says Zaki Sabbagh, IT manager, ZSE.

Following the second phase adoption of Oracle Order Management, ZSE will begin implementing Oracle Inventory.

Zamil partnered with KPMG Hazem Hassan as its implementer of choice due to the company’s proven rapid implementation methodology.

“Our implementation methodology, Rapid Return on Investment (R2i); the best business practices; and our partnership with Oracle Egypt enabled us to implement the Oracle E-Business Suite for Zamil Steel Egypt in record time,” says Omar Elharouni, Partner Enabling Technologies, KPMG Hazem Hassan.
