Genius road show launches new products
Genius Computer Technology, the Middle East & Africa distributor of Genius brand PC systems, has completed a road show to take products to regional partners
Genius Computer Technology (GCT), the authorised distributor for Genius PC systems in the Middle East and Africa, has just completed a successful partner road show in the region. The road show, which showcased a number of new products, visited Lebanon, Syria and Egypt.
The roadshow was held with regional channel partners, to promote products to the market. KYE Systems, the producers of the Genius brand, were also represented by David Shyu, sales manager and Sarah Lin, regional sales manager. Local managers welcomed the support from KYE. “We are very pleased that KYE is showing such a strong commitment to our market,” said Mazen Al Qaissi, manager of GCT’s Lebanon office. “We are now the only distributor for Genius products in Lebanon and this enables us to work towards enhancing the already-strong brand image we have in the country.”
Milad Jabbour, managing director of GCT said: “This is the first time that our principals and we have decided to conduct seminars and road shows. We are pleased with the response and it allows us to be closer to our market. We will be holding such seminars more regularly, perhaps even on a monthly basis.”
GCT also launched a 24 hour technical and marketing support service for its resellers in Syria as part of the road show. The show in Syria was held alongside a major IT exhibition, which allowed the company to show products to a range of new partners.
“It was an opportunity for us to create awareness of all the products in the Genius range, not just the mouse and keyboards that Genius is so well known for,” said Abdul Kader Awwad of Hamra Computer Centre, Genius’ partner in Syria. “Together with GCT, we would like to support all our wholesalers to ensure that Genius products are available at all IT retail stores around the country.”
In Egypt the show was held in conjunction with local partners Genius Trading Company, and MANF. The local partners also expressed a desire to promote the range outside of Cairo. “We plan to hold our own seminars in other major cities in Egypt including Alexandria,” said Ahmed Mustafa of Genius Trading Company and Khaled Hamed of MANF. “GCT has a commitment now to extend their support to grow their business in this region.”
