Cisco Silver certification for Kuwait's Universe Computers

Cisco Systems has appointed Kuwait’s Universe Computer as a Silver level partner. It makes the company Cisco’s highest qualified network integrator partner in the country.

Cisco Systems has appointed Kuwait’s Universe Computers as a Silver level partner. It makes the company Cisco’s highest qualified network integrator partner in the country and will allow it access to Cisco’s joint marketing funds and higher levels of technical support.

Universe Computers was the first channel partner to work with Cisco on Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) in 1996 and now has qualifications on IP Telephony, wireless, voice and DSL technology.

“The Internet industry in Kuwait is growing rapidly and we see the enhancement of our business as being a critical factor in continuing the successes that we have seen over the last fifteen years,” said Saleh Marafi, managing director of Universe Computers.

“As a home-grown Kuwaiti company, we feel a responsibility to ensure that we are able to help local businesses and consumers. We are constantly striving to increase our product offering and the level of service we are able to provide our clients,” he continued.

Universe Computers was founded in 1984 and has been a Cisco partner since 1991. Benefits that it will derive from the deal include productivity tools, online training, marketing resources and sales promotions.
