LG has opened PC Link Gate, its first dedicated IT store in the Middle East. Based in the Al Ain Computer Plaza, in the Bur Dubai region of Dubai, the facility represents an initial investment of around Dhs1 million and spans some 176sq metres in total, with a shop floor measuring 40sq metres.
“We chose Computer Plaza as the venue for this important retail development because of its ability to effectively reach end-users,” said Mohammed Katout, general manager of parent company PC International. “The Plaza has a feel-good environment and is a landmark computer sales venue in Dubai.
“The store will bring us in direct contact with a target audience of computer knowledgeable end-users who are looking for quality products and added-value services, not the cheapest price.”
PC Link Gate’s stock includes LG’s multi-award-winning Flatron, LCD and optical storage products.
The PC International Group is also planning to extend the retail initiative to Abu Dhabi and Sharjah in the near future.
“Later we may look at taking the dedicated store concept to our other areas of influence, namely Libya, Yemen, Syria and Jordan,” said Katout.
