ASUS opens first Middle East service centre
Motherboard manufacturer opens Dubai facility to speed RMA in the region
Motherboard manufacturer ASUS has opened its first service centre in the Middle East. The centre, located in Dubai, is intended to cut service time from months down to a matter of hours in the best cases.
Three dedicated staff will be on hand at the centre, which is equipped with Dhs250,000 worth of diagnostic and other equipment.
Initially the centre will only be open to service motherboards for distributors, but it is planned to expand this to include ASUS notebooks and other hardware lines, and to open to other customers.
“Ninety per cent of problems are software, and we can solve most problems on site,” explained Ted Chen, account manager for ASUS. “All the other manufacturers send their boards back to Taiwan or China, it takes months and it costs. We are accumulating our service experience and putting more and more into the UAE.”
