Motorola expands reach of radio support centre
Motorola's radio support centre, based in Johannesburg, now offers pre and post sales services to the whole of the Middle East and Africa.
Motorola’s South African support centre has extended its services to the whole of Africa and the Middle East, enabling users throughout the region to benefit from its skills base and product knowledge.
The centre, based in Midrand, Johannesburg, provides support for the entire Motorola CGISS line of products, ranging from simple radio systems to digital trunked units. The centre offers services from pre-sales advice to installation and maintenance.
“We are working closely with Motorola distributors and dealers to ensure users get the pre and post sales service and support they require, no matter where in the Middle East or Africa they’re based,” said Archie Clark, service operations manager at the support centre.
Motorola cites the increasing sophistication of radio systems for the centre’s existence: rapidly advancing technology is making in house repairs more and more difficult.
The centre even offers training to customers, explained Clark. “We have a fully equipped training centre in Midrand and can conduct training at customer premises anywhere in the MEA region. Courses can be customised to suit particular needs.”
In addition to educating customers the centre also forms part of the official training programme for WITS Tehnikon students, offering them the chance to gain hands on experience.
