Acer offers free service in Saudi Arabia
Acer Computer ME has announced that it is set to offer free service on any Acer product, regardless of warranty status, for a limited period
Acer Computer ME has announced that it is set to offer free service on any Acer product, regardless of warranty status. But users with out of warranty PCs will have to hurry—the offer is only valid for three days.
The new initiative, the Acer Care Camp, is being piloted in Saudi Arabia with authorised service provider Al Alamiah Electronics, and runs from 1 April to 3 April. Under the programme, users can take PCs to Al Alamiah for hardware diagnostics, operating systems issues and consultation on other aspects of PC ownership, all for free. Acer will also be making spare parts available at a reduced price.
“The Acer Care Camp initiative comes as a realization to Acer's long-term commitment to its loyal users in the Saudi Kingdom, and is the company’s means of reciprocating benefits to the customers that have supported our technology in the region,” said Suhas Bartar, director of the customer services division, Acer Computer ME. “The overall IT sector is now recovering from a slowdown and Acer sees this as an ideal time to reach out to our regional end-user and partner community through this unique program.”
The Acer Care Camp will be extended across the region with other authorised service providers. For Al Alamiah, the initiative allows them the opportunity to promote its services and support offerings, and to build a closer relationship with customers.
“End-users in this market have come to rely on Acer’s ease-of-use, high performance, and value for money products and services, as evidenced by the market share and tremendous popularity of the Acer brand in Saudi Arabia," said Hafez Talaat, executive director, Acer Division, at Al Alamiah Electronics.
“With the launch of the Acer Care Camp, both new and existing customers will now reap the benefits of Acer’s hands-on commitment to providing superior service,” added Chris Spooner, director of customer services, Al Alamiah Electronics.
