Microsoft Great Plains builds channel expertise
Microsoft Great Plains Middle East is increasing the skills of its channel partners, with a new training campaign.
Microsoft Great Plains Middle East is increasing the skills of its channel partners, with a new training campaign. The programme will be co-ordinated by Soha Kamal, the newly appointed channel services director for the region, and aims to improve standards among resellers.
“Microsoft Great Plains greatly values each and every customer, and realises that the best way to win new customers, while maintaining existing ones, is to provide them with world-class levels of service from our regional channel partners,” said Chris Harris, managing director, Microsoft Great Plains Middle East. “Our new training initiatives, together with our entire suite of channel service offerings, have been designed to further this aim—unparalleled customer support,” added Harris.
The training campaign will cover technical and functional aspects, and will be mandatory for all partners. Partners have to attend training and pass corresponding exams to maintain their partner status.
“Partner program initiatives, such as our newly introduced partner certification training, are one way that Microsoft Great Plains Middle East intends to differentiate itself from the growing pack of business management software solution providers,” said Kamal. “By conducting a regular series of intense, partner-oriented training sessions, we are best able to stand behind our products and support our end-user customers. In my role, I will be placing special focus on professional services and product management. Other channel services include technical support, certification and specialised training, and product consulting.”
