Advanced Broadcast Technology to close

Omnibus Systems is to close Advanced Broadcast Technology. Omnibus will continue to distribute Advanced Broadcast Technology products.

Advanced Broadcast Technology is to close after admitting that it launched its business at the wrong time.

The company has sold its popular AVS Graphics character generator to the US management team.

"Our parent company, Omnibus Systems Limited, has decided that in the light of the current market conditions, it should concentrate on its core business of providing broadcast management systems," said CEO Jeremy Bancroft.

"As it turned out, last year was a bad time to launch a new product business in this sector."

Advanced Broadcast Technology's award winning MultiBrowse and Media FingerPrinting products and technology will be absorbed within Omnibus, where transmission verification will be supplied either as part of an Omnibus system or as a stand-alone solution.

"I have greatly enjoyed my long association with Omnibus and I am looking forward to new challenges and opportunities that will benefit from the experience and expertise I have gained in my time with the company." added Bancroft.

The new US company, AVS Graphics & Media Inc. based in Salt Lake City, Utah, will offer sales and service of AVS ManuScript character generator and AVS StillBank still store products to customers world wide.
