Jumbo reveals major UAE expansion plans
Electronics retailer wants to "give customer satisfaction a new dimension" with its ambitious plans to open 50 stores across UAE within 2 years.
Jumbo Electronics, the UAE-based consumer electronics giant, has outlined its plans for an ambitious retail expansion strategy for the region. With the recent opening of its stores in Ajman and Umm al Quwain, the company has already expanded its stores to 26 and completed the first phase of its retail strategy.
It is now the only electronics retailer with a presence in all seven Emirates of the UAE. The company now plans to increase its retail stores to fifty by opening an additional 24 stores over the next 24 months. The move is intended to boost Jumbo's role in the supply chain by providing manufacturers and brands better access to customers, as well as improve customer service levels.
“Our experience with the retail industry has shown us that customers are consistently looking out for greater convenience, higher levels of service, better selections of brands and increased information,” said Vishesh Bhatia, director of operations, Jumbo Electronics. “With our new retail strategy, our customers will have the convenience of experiencing the world’s best brands at a friendly Jumbo Electronics store virtually right next to their homes.”
“This move will further enable us to offer wider distribution reach and supply chain benefits to world's leading brands like Sony, Supra, Casio, Electrolux, Nokia, Ericsson, Fujitsu-Siemens, Compaq, IBM, Intel, Brother and Ricoh amongst many others,” added Bhatia. “Our business partners will benefit from appropriate brand visibility, consistent marketing communications and real-time customer demand information through the expanded retail network.”
