Future Tent, in association with Emirates Computers and Nokia, will open tonight (22nd November).
An innovative concept that combines the traditions of Ramadan with the technology of tomorrow, Future Tent is part of the Fawanees Global Village.
All visitors to the tent will be welcome to view and learn about the breathtaking technology on display: Hewlett Packard’s state of the art Digital camera and imagery; 60” plasma displays and total home entertainment solutions from LG; and the latest mobile communication technology from Nokia.
Families are invited to put the latest Nokia Communicator through its paces as part of the Nokia Challenge interactive game. The Arabia.Com Internet Café, powered by Pentium IV processors, along with Nintendo games consoles, will add a new dimension to traditional Iftar activites.
A very popular zone is expected to be the E-Government in Action area, where members of the public are welcome to learn more about the E-Govt initiative live online.
Members of DEWA and Dubai police will be on hand to guide visitors around the opportunities, convenience and concept of E-Govt.
“The Future Tent is very much in keeping with the traditions of Ramadan,” said Walid Akawi, publisher, ITP. “Families will be especially welcome, and we are very proud that the government of Dubai is using Future Tent to showcase their initiative.”
