CLS banishes paper mountains

Canadian Legal Services has enlisted the services of ASP Gulf to help it move to what it describes as a paperless office environment.

Canadian Legal Services (CLS), a legal and immigration specialist, says it’s moved to a paperless office environment thanks to a technology solution from ASP Gulf. The ASP Gulf system allows CLS to electronically store all its documents off site, instead of having to pile them up in its nine GCC offices.

“This solution will allow all the CLS offices to log into one centralized system, share a single contact management database and look at the electronic file of customers,” says Duncan Watson, CEO of ASPGulf explained. Watson claims that CLS will also be able to save substantial amounts of money by outsourcing IT functions.

There is also the added bonus, of course, of CLS employees being able to focus on client needs rather than on IT functions. As well as helping CLS, the system will allow clients to access their case files over the Internet from any Web browser.

“ASPGulf has provided us with a solution and environment supporting different business applications for our operations in the region,” said Sam M. Bayat, Canadian Legal Services’ CEO and senior lawyer.

“By outsourcing our technology requirements to ASPGulf we were able to focus on strategic planning for the company and in turn make our clients more aware of the progress of their immigration application or any other legal services. We can now run our business in a secure environment customised to our needs, with the support of ASPGulf.”
