eTechSecurity partners with Symantec ME
eTechSecurity announced today that it is partnering with Symantec to offer security services and solutions to the Middle East region.
eTechSecurity, a premier IT security solutions provider in the Middle East announced today that it is partnering with Symantec to offer regional consulting and professional services. Under the terms of the agreement, eTechSecurity will become an enterprise security partner engaged in professional services on Symantec-led projects. The former will provide comprehensive consulting and implementation services to a number of industries, including the private and government sectors, utilising Symantec's security solutions and complementary technologies.
"The Middle East market is experiencing a surge in security activity, and with the security landscape changing, enterprises are taking proactive steps to protect themselves from a wide variety of what we call 'blended' security threats,” stated Kevin Isaac, Symantec's Regional Director for the Middle East and Africa (MEA). “Because security is an ongoing rather than one-time consideration, one of the most challenging aspects is finding trained professionals to implement and support new technologies. With its team of security experts around the Middle East, eTechSecurity is the ideal regional partner for Symantec in the professional services sector," he added.
The primary areas in which Symantec and eTech Security will collaborate include virus protection, firewall and virtual private networks, vulnerability management, intrusion detection, Internet content and e-mail filtering, and remote management technologies.
"Our new alliance underscores eTechSecurity's regional commitment to providing best-of-breed technology. eTechSecurity is investing considerable time and resources to ensure that our team is highly proficient and certified on the latest Symantec solutions necessary to protect businesses across the Middle East," said Steve Crutchley, Regional Director of eTech Security.
Symantec's regional partnership with eTechSecurity follows a recent announcement that analyst group Gartner Dataquest had ranked Symantec as the world's leading security software provider based on new license revenue in 2000. With 14.7 percent market share worldwide, Symantec topped the list of the top 25 security software vendors mentioned in the Gartner Dataquest report, titled "2000 Security Software Market Share."
