HSBC Bank International Limited has opened its first full representative office in Dubai – one of several planned for different locations around the world over the coming year as part of the bank’s initiative to get closer to its international customers.

As HSBC Group’s specialist provider of international wealth management services, HSBC Bank International, through its new office, will cater exclusively to the needs of expatriates working in the region.

Paul Leech, chief executive officer, HSBC Bank International Limited, explains: “Our Dubai Representative Office gets us closer to our customers, giving them the opportunity to discuss their finances at their convenience, with locally-based relationship managers and financial advisers. Our objective is to help expatriates living in the region make the most of their financial position, to offer good advice, and to provide a secure environment for their savings and investments in an offshore centre of the highest calibre.”

HSBC Bank International’s Dubai office offers HSBC’s full range of offshore services, ranging from multi-currency banking products to investment services, UK mortgages, estate and tax planning. It also includes independent financial advice covering the full range of investments and insurance services selected from HSBC Group and other carefully chosen financial institutions.

Outside of office opening hours, customers have the convenience of HSBC’s 24-hour offshore Internet and telephone banking service.
Mr Leech continued: “We are working closely with HSBC Bank Middle East in the region to provide a first class service for expatriates in the United Arab Emirates. We understand their unique requirements and have a range of services dedicated to their specific needs.”
