FIC displays wireless webpad

The Gitex 2001 show in Dubai will see FIC display and demonstrate a range of products, including webpad with wireless technology, advanced AMD, Intel and Cyrix-based motherboard solutions and internet appliance devices.

The Gitex 2001 show in Dubai will see FIC display and demonstrate a range of products, including webpad with wireless technology, advanced AMD, Intel and Cyrix-based motherboard solutions and internet appliance devices.

FIC will be debuting its mainboard DDR solution, the AN11, based around VIA’s KT266 chipset. Equipped with VIA’s advanced V-Link technology, the AN11, will have increased bridge architecture bandwidth of 266 MHz.

Gitex 2001 will also see FIC introducing a selection of its advanced Intel-based solutions. The ATX sized, VC11, which runs on PC133 SDRAM and supports the 478-pin FCPGA2 P4 CPU is one of the releases being touted for its value/performance.

Gitex will also see the introduction of FIC’s AquaPad, a handheld Internet appliance, based around the Transmeta Crusoe processor, and incorporating a mobile linux OS.

Other products set to be introduced during Gitex 2001 include FIC’s first PDA, the A360 notebook and a compact Viento with an integrated touch screen panel with virtual keyboard handwriting recognition.
