So Safe in Jebel Ali investment
The Sharjah-based manufacturer of water purification systems is investing $9.9 million in a high-tech, state of the art Jebel Ali facility.
So Safe Products LLC, a Sharjah-based manufacturer of water purification systems, is investing $9.9 million in a new Jebel Ali facility. The 200,000 square foot factory in the free zone is expected to open within three years.
“Currently we are selling from the UAE into 50 countries and we plan a major launch at the Big 5 [an industrial exhibition] to double our export destinations,” Sultan Mahmood, managing director, So Safe. “We will actively pursue new opportunities in South America, the Far East and CIS and will achieve this through inter-exhibitor as well as visitor networking.”
So Safe claims to have 70% of the Middle East market for water purification systems, and is planning to launch a comprehensive new product range. This will include low-pressure, energy saving reverse osmosis units, jumbo housings, bacteria-removing cartridges, cartridges for industrial applications and no foam sediment cartridges for desalination plants in the Middle East.
“The water crisis which is now impinging on the Middle East will increase demand for new purification and conservation products,” said Mahmood. “Consequently, we can realistically expect a year on year 20% increase in turnover over the next decade.”
