Pepsi promises to be cool as it goes online
Pepsi's site will promote 'teen relevance' platforms such as football, music and other 'trendy' topics. Visitors to the site also get chance to chat with their favourite stars.
Pepsi-Cola has teamed up with regional portal site Arabia.com to deliver a localised web site. The site — www.pepsiarabia.com — aims to promote ‘teen relevance’ platforms such as music and football (or soccer to some.)
“This is a great partnership between Pepsi-Cola and Arabia.com,” said Faisal Farid, MENA VP marketing.
“www.pepsiarabia.com will be in Arabic and is targeted at the teenage and the young. It is the first of its kind in the Middle East region.”
Richard Evans, COO arabia.com added, “this is a natural partnership between the #1 beverage company in the region and the #1 Arab web site. Pepsi brings its knowledge of what today’s youth want, and we bring our ability to get it to that audience effectively.”
Forthcoming services from the site will include interactive chats with popular celebrities, relevant teenage news, discussions, competitions and various different screensaver and wallpaper downloads.
