ITP to launch Time Out Dubai

World-leading listings and entertainment magazine will serve the region’s tourism, leisure and business travel hub beginning in September.

ITP is to launch Dubai’s very own version of Time Out, the world-leading listings and entertainment magazine. The 144-page monthly magazine will launch with a print run of 35,000 copies in September and will be focused on Dubai distribution, with additional copies delivered throughout the UAE, the Middle East and other key global destinations.

“Time Out is a great magazine that has become an integral part of peoples’ lifestyles in London and New York,” said publisher Walid Akawi. “Our aim is to deliver a magazine that defines Dubai in the same way, and serves visitors and residents alike with an interesting, relevant and easy to use guide to the leisure and entertainment options in our city.”

The magazine aims to help people make sense of the fast-growing leisure and entertainment options that Dubai offers. With over 270 hotels, leisure and theme parks, tourism operators and a huge range of restaurants, cinemas, beach clubs and other outlets serving the Emirates’ residents and visitors with a huge range of things to do and see, Dubai’s leisure choices can be perplexing.

“People in Dubai today have something of a problem in working out just what to do because of the sheer enormity of choice,” said Akawi. “We’re aiming to help people make the most of their leisure time and get the most out of what’s there.”

The new launch will also see Dubai gaining a position alongside London and New York on the global TimeOut.com Web site. The magazine will be on sale at key airports around the world.
