Dubai 2001 goes 3D

Organisers of the Dubai Air Show, Fairs and Exhibitions, has made a deal with Virtex International FZ LLC, to provide a fully interactive 3D virtual version of Dubai 2001 Aerospace Exhibition

Fairs and Exhibitions (F & E), organisers of the Dubai Air Show, has signed up a Dubai virtual exhibitions specialist, Virtex International FZ LLC, to provide a fully interactive 3D virtual version of Dubai 2001, the International Aerospace Exhibition being held 4-8 November 2001 at Dubai Airport Expo.

The deal hopes to see Virtex International develop a ‘Virtual Dubai 2001’ Website which will give exhibitors the opportunity to demonstrate interactive products on line, deliver real audio presentations and communicate directly with potential clients. The Website is also aimed at reaching people who cannot attend Dubai 2001, and to help with the post show follow up process.

Each exhibitor will have access to its own online area on ‘Virtual Dubai 2001’ where it can exchange links and information on its virtual stand as well as download full statistics and information on all of the visitors.

“Virtual exhibitions are an ideal way to extend the reach of a terrestrial show, both in terms of time and distance,” said Steve Martin, managing director, Virtex International FZ LLC. “The Virtual Dubai 2001 site will be a truly global, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week show offering exhibitors and visitors the ability to experience Dubai 2001 long after the aircraft engines have cooled,” he added.

The virtual show goes live October 28th, 2001 and will remain online for three months.
