Caillet appointed CEO of MobileCom

MobileCom, one of two GSM operators in Jordan has appointed Jean-Christophe Caillat as CEO

MobileCom, the new public mobile telephone network operator that operates mobile communications in Jordan instated Jean-Christophe Caillet as CEO.

Commenting on his appointment, Caillat said, “MobileCom is building on the success of its past achievements in transforming the GSM market in Jordan to a competitive, customer oriented environment and will continue to improve on its service offerings through further development of new value services and offers.”

The company, which is the brainchild of France Telecom and Jordan Telecom, was launched in September 2000. MobileCom is the main competitor of Fast Link, which previously dominated the Jordanian mobile market. It is believed that Caillet’s appointment will help invigorate the company in the wake of a growing and competitive mobile market.
