Canon unveils new ultra-bright range of projectors

Developed specifically for use in brightly-lit environments, Canon's new range supports new video standards including DVD and high-definition TV. <br>

Canon launched a new range of data projectors in Dubai today, which have been designed with the travelling executive, corporate presentation-giver and home-user. The new range supports a number of new video standards, including DVD and high-definition TV.

“Business users in the Middle East are looking for every advantage they can find to get their messages across,” said Gordon Jones, president of Canon Middle East. “The new models we have introduced today are amongst the brightest projectors in their class— and have the additional Canon Turbo Bright System to increase clarity.”

The Turbo Bright System increases the brightness of projected images by 25% making presentations in rooms inadequately protected from the Middle East’s intense sunlight stand out more clearly.

The technology uses orange light (normally suppressed in traditional projector technology to reduce colour distortion) to optimise light rays from the lamp through the projection lens— but without distorting the overall colour balance.

Another new feature in the high-end LV-7325 model is the built-in PCMCIA card clot, which functions as a memory card. This enables presentations to be made without the inconvenience of having to plug the projector into a computer.
