AMEInfo develops content for handhelds

Users of Palm or Windows CE devices will now be able to use wireless or PC synchronisation technology to view AMEInfo’s content on their handhelds.

AMEInfo.com is to provide regional content for AvantGo’s mobile information service. Using wireless technology or by synchronising with a PC, users of Palm or Windows CE devices will be able to view AMEInfo’s content on their handhelds.

"Because AvantGo provides free content and applications to PDAs and WAP-enabled mobile phone users, we get access to the fast-growing world of handheld devices," says Klaus Lovgreen, managing director, AMEInfo.com.

Users can also access a variety of information from AvantGo and its several hundred content partners, including world news, financial market data and entertainment.

AMEInfo.com provides an online directory containing information on over 200,000 Middle Eastern organisations. It is a provider of Middle Eastern information to several global Web sites.
