Brokat releases user-centric software family

Brokat Technologies has released a new family of software products aimed at giving companies a user-centric approach to e-business through an m-infrastructure.

Brokat Technologies has released its latest family of products into the Middle East market, aimed at providing businesses with a new user-centric approach to e-business.

The new family of technologies includes mobile security, rules and personalisation, mobile payment, user location management, and user profile management.

The Brokat Server Technology (the evolution of Twister) offers a multi-channel infrastructure software capable of serving millions of users; Brokat Advisor (from Blaze) provides advanced rules management technology and personalisation software; Brokat PaymentWorks is designed for mobile payment software; and Brokat Financial Applications is for e-banking and e-brokerage.

“Unlike today, where access to services are constrained by where you are and who you are, we are convinced that in the future we will have access to services as naturally as the air we breathe—what Brokat Technologies calls ‘Service Like Air,’” said Stefan Roever, CEO of Brokat Technologies.

“In order for this shift to occur, a new business model and new user-centric software infrastructure are required and Brokat Technologies is providing the complete stack.”

According to the company, three critical elements enable user-centric business and all are integrated within Brokat Technologies’ m-infrastructure software: mobility—accessible anytime and anywhere; mass adoption—scalability for multi-millions of users; and multi-channel—available through many mediums, from PCs to PDAs to cellular phones.

“As the Internet, wireless and other network technologies merge into the ubiquitous Supranet, new destabilizing net-centric business models will emerge,” said Massimo Pezzini, vice president and research director for Application Integration & Middleware Strategy at Gartner Group.

“Vendors providing an end-to-end, scalable, reliable and easy to deploy software infrastructure implementing such a cohesive, multi-channel ‘central nervous system’ are well positioned to emerge as the software mega-vendors in the Supranet era,” he added.
